Although I do have an opinion.... I have never stated what I think the "best conference" is. I would like to look at ducklife420's logic.

LSU, in my opinion was lucky, if you look at all their wins, most came down to the last play.
I'm looking at ALL their wins like you are asking. I do not see MOST coming down to the last play. If you are talking about LSU's victories over #13 Florida and #15 Auburn, then I ask you: Should LSU have put these two ranked teams away at the end of the 1st quarter? Halftime? When you play RANKED teams it often goes down to the wire. This is not Stanford we are talking about, this is Florida and Auburn.

This is called Pac Ten logic. According to their ACT scores, this should solve the mysteries of the universe. Sometimes Pac Ten logic will be used by Big Ten fans so be careful.
Next year Big Ten fans will not have to use Pac Ten logic. The Big Ten should be pretty good next year and I actually think the conference will be open for a number of teams to win. I'm cheering for the Illini. Little Bro goes there next year.
Try this Pac Ten logic on for size. My last semester at UT I had 2 professors that graduated from Cal, one professor graduated from UCLA, one graduated from Penn State, and one graduated from OSU. According to Pac Ten logic, my academic achievement was not worthy because I went to a SEC school. I mean it is hard for me to spell SEC. By using the formula that would mean that I can't spell SEC very well because I was taught by 3 Pac Ten educated professors and 2 Big Ten educated professors.
Oh this Pac Ten logic is too much for one to comprehend. Maybe in my next life will I be worthy. Hopefully by then the Pac Ten hasn't set up a NCAA caste system.
