Good morning, Good Peeps. Ok, afternoon for some of yous.

It is going to be 86 and HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUmi
d today, so I closed the house up and set the ac for 80 just to keep the humididty out. Tomorrow and Friday in the 90s. Hello, summer! Hope it does not last, as I really enjoy having the house open-allergies and all.

Last day in class for the week. Tomorrow I have math curriculum meetings all day long at the high school as we get ready to transition over to the nationnal common cores ( taking the place of GW's No Child Left Behind mess) It will be interesting to see how they plan to assess the new standards. Great idea of not just teaching the skill, but forcing the kids to apply their math and writing skills to solve real world type problems. Just not sure how it wil be tested as it sure does not lend itself to stadardized on-line testing

Friday- heading to lovely Iowa to move the little girl's furniture home. She is headed to Kenya in 3 weeks for an internship with the Department of Defense. She has one more semester, and is just going to share a room in an apt of 4 sorority sisters next fall. We will store her stuff until she graduates and commissions and reports for duty at Davis-Monthan AF base next January. Then we will truly be empty nesters. I don't whether to cry or cheer.

I am pulling a Catfish, and just copying and pasting this on all threee of my fav threads...,-)

And, Tony, my av makes me want to go out and gt a puppy.

wow and very sad on junior seau. is this another concussion case ? very sad. and the nfl will shut down soon if this is another case of a 43 man with a brain of an 80 yr man with althzeimers, like exeagle andre waters. very sad. they're saying that's why he didn't shoot himself in the head, so his brain can be studied. very sad.

rib rack..? ok/.

due to bad luck and injuries, the phils are throwing worley, hamels and kendrick vs strasburg, gonzalez and someone else. not a good matchup.

send me ribs!

When is their tee time?

The name Kendrick (as a SP for the Phils) didn't ring a bell, so I looked him up.  He started 31 games in 2010 and 30 in 2008, not to mention 15 last year?  I must not follow the Phils at all.  lol

mags--i will save you the trouble - kendrick blows! his a subpar baseball player still on a major league roster. when the phils won the world series in 08 he demanded a ws ring and the phils said "no" since he wasn't on the playoff roster. he demanded one and they gaved in. some nut stole it from his house months ago and was returned.

be shouldn't be in the majors!

he couldn't get me out with a wiffle ball.

I'm surprised Hamels came out and admitted he hit Bryce Harper.  I say that because I'd be worried that MLB doles out some sort of punishment.  I'm sure a fine doesn't concern him, cut a suspension would.  Nothing came of it, so I sort of doubt it.

Catfish - 76er fans didn't do your city any favors when they cheered Joakim (sp?) Noah going down towards the end of game 3 against Chicago.  The guy was writhing in pain and they're cheering.  The 76ers and Bulls don't have any sort of rilvary, do they?  Not that that would excuse it, but at least you'd have some idea why they did it.  Must be general stupidity.

chief-seen over the years?? ever see the oakland a's relief pitcher who threw a chair into the stands and busted an old lady in the face?
ever see the father and son drunk off their arses's attack the first base umpire in chicago, so bad, that both teams them pummelled the father and son?

ever see the ny Giants fans throw ice balls at people in the endzone a few yrs back. when the reporters took pictures of the accused throwing snowballs and the pix made the papers, the giants tracked down who they were by the seat section and banned their seat license and season tickets.

how about the fans in detroit who threw a beer bottle at ron artest leading to a riot ?

ever see the cubs fan who threw a beer on shane victorino as he was catching a ball 3 yrs ago ?

THIS ISN'T ABOUT PHILLY! It's everywhere!

don't know why the fans were cheering. normally they clap as he leaves the court like other injured players. i don't like noah, so i don't care. wrong to cheer his injury, but he brings a lot of fan hatred on himself. total punk since he was at florida.

Now that you mention it nothing beats that incident in Chicago when those drunks beat up Tom Gamboa, I think thats his name. Detroit fans are pretty bad too.
